Philip Michael Thomas

Philip Michael Thomas is an actor best known for his role as Detective Ricardo Tubbs in the mid mid-late 1980s TV show, Miami Vice. Although Thomas was a well-known actor at the height of popularity for Miami Vice, his career essentially ended with the show's cancellation in 1990 and he has not had any notable roles in the last two decades.

Thomas was born on May 26, 1949 and broke into acting in his early 20s in the 1970s. His first role was in the 1972 blaxploitation film, "Come Back, Charleston Blue" where he had a minor role as a minister. Thomas followed with small roles over the next 10-15 years in films such as Stigma, Book of Numbers, Bogart, Coonskin and in TV shows such as Griff, Good Times, Toma, The New Adventures of Wonder Woman, and Trapper John, M.D.

Thomas finally caught his big break when he was cast as Detective Ricardo Tubbs on the hit TV show Miami Vice in 1984. Although co-star Don Johnson was the biggest star of Miami Vice, Thomas was popular and achieved his own acclaim. Among Miami Vice fans, Thomas was known affectionately as "the scuzzy black guy on Miami Vice."

On Miami Vice, Thomas played Miami undercover police detective Ricardo Tubbs, a former NYPD police officer who traveled to Miami to find the person who killed his brother, Rafael Tubbs. While in Miami Tubbs encountered another undercover cop, Sonny Crockett (played by Don Johnson), who is also looking for the same person.

Miami Vice was a popular show and was renowned for its heavy integration of music and visual effects to tell a story. Miami Vice also heavily influenced mid-80s fashion as male fans started dressing in hot pink or teal t-shirts with white pants or white sports coats.

Thomas was well-known for possibly possessing the greasiest-looking skin and hair in all of Hollywood. Here are some pictures of Thomas looking his greasiest - I bet his entire face and hair would ignite in flames if someone had lit a match within 5 feet of him when these photos were taken:

Thomas was known for having a massive ego. During a mid-1980s Academy Awards ceremony, Thomas wore a gaudy gold medallion emblazoned with the letters "EGOT," which stands for "Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony." During a 1984 interview, Thomas said, "Hopefully in the next five years I will win all of those awards." Despite his massive career aspirations, Thomas neither won nor was nominated for any of these awards.

After the cancellation of Miami Vice in 1990, Thomas struggled to find steady work. He appeared in a number of crappy made-for-TV movies and had non-recurring roles on TV shows such as The Adventures of Superboy, Zorro, Swamp Thing, and Nash Bridges.

Thomas has also sunk his teeth into a singing career. Thomas recorded a music album entitled Living the Book of My Life in 1985. However, the album sold poorly and failed to produce a hit single. Thomas performed the title song of his album during the 1985 episode of Miami Vice entitled The Maze.

Thomas released his second album, entitled Somebody, in 1988. Somebody also sold poorly and failed to produce a hit. In 1993, Thomas collaborated with Kathy Rahill to compose My, My, Miam...i, which was chosen as the city of Miami's theme song.

Thomas later joined forces with Jamaican fitness instructor Sandi Morais to compose songs for a family-friendly musical entitled Sacha, which enjoyed runs in south Florida and New York. Thomas also produced music for Morais' fitness videos in 2001 and 2006.

Cementing his image as a washed-up celebrity and apparently desperate for a steady stream on income, in 1994 Thomas entered into a contractual agreement with the Florida-based Psychic Reader's Network (later known as Traffix, Inc.) to become the spokesman for the Philip Michael Thomas Psychic Connection. He appeared in TV ads dressed in a wardrobe similar to that of his Miami Vice Ricardo Tubbs character, opening the ads with the phrase, "From Miami Vice to world advice!"

Traffix later replaced Thomas with Miss Cleo. Thomas sued for breach of contract and won. In 2002 a New York arbitrator awarded Thomas $1.48 million for improper use of his name and likeness and an additional $780,000 in interest.

Having sunk from a headline actor on Miami Vice to the spokesman for a physic network by 1994, fans of Thomas must have thought that the actor's career couldn't possibly sink any lower. However, fans were wrong - according to the Internet Movie Database, Thomas's only role since 2003 was a voice-over role for the video game, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

Philip Michael Thomas struggled in Hollywood for years until finally catching his big break when he was cast as Detective Ricardo Tubbs on Miami Vice. Thomas fought the odds to become a success despite possessing arguably the greasiest skin and hair in all of Hollywood. However, Thomas's career quickly plummeted after the cancellation of Miami Vice as quickly as it rose during the mid-1980s. Now, the actor would be fortunate to be cast in an infomercial. All of this makes Philip Michael Thomas one washed-up celebrity!

Phillip Michael Thomas...Don't let dude near an Open Flame!

EGOT? It's a miracle he got as far as he did. The only way dude would see any award was in a magazine.

Agents know where to find Phillip Michael Thomas...Follow the drip to the table at comicon next to Virgil. What a download spiral.

Great to see you back. Love reading this blog. We need a feature on Erin Moran Stat. And might I suggest on former WWF superstar Virgil.

agh i almost forgot this post was about Philip Michael THomas! thomas' issue is one of getting steady work, which other washed-up celebs struggle with as well, but where other celebs have the skeletons in their closet revealed, and go through other pitfalls Thomas is really only washed up because he was big in Miami Vice, but nowadays can't even play an extra on a sitcom. he was arrogant because he was on top in the 80s (Fame, money, women, and coke does that to a person), but i think he's a bit more humble now. I won't go into his singing career because most of it involved the struggle to work, and because i haven't heard any of it. I haven't read any bad encounters from fans who have met him. all the ones i've seen describe him as a stand-up guy, so in conclusion he is washed up because he has been reduced do doing infomercials and anything miami vice related, but this is the best kind of 'washed-up' to be.
he hasn't really aged terribly, he's not fat, he's not taking it in the rear for coke, but even if he was, he's still so greasy that he'd supply his own lube.

You need to do an entry on the really annoying Susan Richardson from Eight Is Enough. After the series ended, she want on several talk shows claiming she was abducted and forced to work in a white slavery ring!

BOTR said...

Agreed on Erin Moran.

Also, like I've said a million times before, I really want to see entries on Kirk Cameron and Stephen Baldwin.

He should have titled his second album "Nobody" instead of "Somebody."

Thank you for doing PhilaMikaThomas! What a complete tool! Have you seen the intro he did for Death Drug? Too funny!

Thomas was so lucky to get the Miami Vice gig. He thought the show was popular because of him, but he was just along for the ride. His albums are some of the worst examples of 80s poof music. Check out You Tube for the video of "Just the Way I Planned It". If someone were to try to make a mockery of 80s videos, they couldn't do a funnier job.

There's a really funny flash animation out there called "EGOT" about PMT. Google it and find the apocalypsecartoons link. You'll laugh your butt off!

Philip Michael Thomas biggest problem was that he was so damn cocky and arrogant - at least he always came across that way in interviews during and after his Miami Vice run. Also the "psychic" spokesman bit obviously did him absolutely no good – diminishing whatever credibility his acting career gave him.

Shawn James said...

Oh and Phillip Michael Thomas looks like a carmel colored Michael Keaton. Only he has half the talent of Michael Keaton.

^To be fair, Coonskin was a fantastic animated film which lampooned the old Uncle Remus stories.

If anyone can find that Psychic commercial he did, I'd love to see it. I can't find it on the web anywhere.

Does he smoke poles for heroin like Leif Garret now or is he just a greasy sleazeball (or a sleazy greaseball)?

You gotta give PMT some credit for someone very pretty but extremly talentless to hang in there long enough to land Miami Vice is impressive. However, when you have 13 children all by various women one of whom washes up on a Miami Beach dead and the other who sues you everything and accuses you of spousal abuse... well thats a tough rode to ride. Bad investments like the Psychic Network, uninsured condos destroyed by Hurrivane Davey in 92, and a lousy theatre company in Miami can also hurt. Still he has a good attitude about life... check out this clip from the High Chaparral show on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHXbUzC766E&safety_mode=true&persist_safety_mode=1 show he shot in a rented Benz

Philip Michael Thomas is a good actor and I agree with the other anon. This post is racist and stupid. I'm sure Philip, who is in his 60's, still looks better than most of the idiots who posted here.

He brought flava to the Miami Vice, great acting and a handsome, dark, sexy face. I grew up watching him and I enjoyed him as an actor, especially in his earlier role in "Book of Numbers"

Ok, so he isn't acting anymore. So what? Many people move on to other career fields. He was HOT in his prime and I'm not mad at that. I'm wondering if you will ever have a time to be HOT in the spotlight??? I DOUBT IT.

As for EGOT...SO WHAT? He had a high self esteem. When white guys in Hollywood think highly of themselves, it's not an issue. When a brotha thinks highly of himself, he's arrogant.

PMT, is an amazing brotha. I wish him the best. Thanks for sharing your talent with the world

HOWEVER HE HAD GREAT CHEMISTRY WITH DON JOHNSON ON SCREEN TOGETHER THEY WERE BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID. i thoroughly enjoyed Miami Vice and the character of Tubbs as portrayed by PMT. I believe that he did a great job portraying the character but i also feel that he caused his own downfall by trying to build upon a fictional character after the show ended. Don Johnson's career isnt exactly stellar either but he was a bit more grounded. And connected.
Look at the come back of Mickey Rourke. He also had his demons but came back slow and steady. if PMT were to dump the ego and take any role at all and perform as an actor he will succeed. I truly hope he does. If he had no talent then he wouldnt have got the role he did. CSI Miami is a comedy show with actors who ply their craft diligently. take a hint-PMT.

Phillip Michael Thomas also starred in the controversial Ralph Bakshi movie Coonskin and tried to sell kit cars like the fake Ferrari Daytona they used for the first few seasons of Miami Vice.

Virgil from WWF made a lot of money doing behind the scenes work for WWF AND he is a math teacher. He is also obviously well spoken and intelligent. If Arbi actually spoke to the man instead of mocking him from afar he would have learned these things.

There are lots of posts here from uninformed people who believe what they see is the extent of this world.

So having read your very racist blog on Phillip Michael Thomas I find it extremely OFFENSIVE.
Greasy skin? Greasy hair.
Why are you so hateful & bigoted?
And SO WHAT if he wears a big medallion with EGOT! It was the
80's EVERYONE HAD AN EGO.
It was the era of excess!
So Charlie Sheem rants like a Mad man, hair unkempt, spewing total
GIBBERISH and he still manages to get a job on a new show called
Anger Management but then again it helps if your Dad is Martin Sheen a mainstream in the Hollywood Who's Who & has status.
BUT when PMT does a minor mistake
that gives you the right to totally disparage him?
WOW!
You have alot to learn about how Hollywood really is about!
Hollywood is RACIST.
to the core.
Especially to African American actors & actresses.
Sure we have Halle Berry,Denzel,
Samuel Jackson but its not enough.
I've grown up around Hollywood & it was REAL HARD for any black actor in 1980's Hollywood to get ANYTHING.
Your post is most agregious, bigoted, just all around hateful.
AND might I add PMT DID get something in the way of employment.
He did the best he could considering the very UNFAIR,biased, and very REAL RACISM that was thrown his way.
He simply did the best he could with the cards he was dealt with at the time.
It is NEVER acceptable to make fun of anyones misfortunes in life be it they be black, white, brown, purple.
And Hollywood is SO VERY RACIALLY BIASED,SMUG BASTARDS who sit in their fancy oversized offices & leather chairs acting like overzealous dictators.
Shame on you!

Lonesome Dove said...

So by reading your blog it really does REEK of racial bias.
Lets review here:
Greasy face
Greasy hair
Why would you write such disparaging comments about such a TALENTED actor?
And so what if he wore some over sized BLING that said EGOT.
BFD!
It WAS the 80's NITWIT! Damn near everyone had big ego's,spent money like it was running from an endless faucet etc.
Most men that handsome especially AN ACTOR ALWAYS HAVE BIG EGOS.
It comes with their line of work.
Especially in the 80's.
Don Johnson was the exact same way yet to no surprise HE was getting movie scripts left, right & sideways since Miami Vice's show ended their run.
WOW! Like the old American Express credit card commercials used to say in its slogan:
"Membership has its privileges"
Especially if one is a WHITE actor favored by good old Hollywood.
It is never acceptable to kick someone when they are down , someone who has a bit of misfortune as PMT had.
And FYI he seems to be doing alright these days HE DID win a lawsuit of close to 2 million + some 6 figure change according to your racially biased blog so in my eyes he came out real good.
Shame on you & this agregious post.
I was disgusted!

So is PMT off the hook for having 13 kids with different women--- on top of that for being a dead beat dad?! Is this a cultural thing---- being a dead beat dad is okay? Financially it sure ruined him. Maybe he can come put and tell gis side o the story. And BTW--- Don Johnson came on much sttonger than PMT with a hot play starring Sal Mineo and big roles in filma in the 70's. And there is plenty of trash inntinseltown talked about him.

Anonymous said...

I'd hardly call being a millionaire washed up. He made millions from TV. That psychic gig alone made him over 12 million dollars.

Anonymous said...

He is washed up!!! He never made the money Don Johnson did (as many say because Hollywood is racist which may be true). But Vice only ran 5-years and in less than 4 after that... he appeared on the Psychic network...isn't that a obvious he needed cash? His house in Florida was foreclosed on in 1998 and he abandoned a few of his 13 kids in the projects. THIS IS FACT! Do the math...child support on 13 kids and living the high life could easily puit you in the red in a very short time if you don't continue to work. Furthermore...while he did sue that #$$@%^ Dianne Warwick who steal all his Psychic network Money... the 4 mill settlement he got 10-years ago could have easily been taken away from him for back child support and the IRS. Its a known fact... he is flat broke till his pension kicks in. Very common for TV actors. But dont take my word for it... just do an intel search and look at the houses and apartment he and his kids have been calling home in Miami. They're in the hood!

Anonymous said...

Hey , one more thing, if you look at you tube PMT does an interview with a german TV-Station... he even says when asked about Miami Vive I WAS (this mean Past Tense) a millionare". When his pension kicks in he'll be okay--- but he's is definetly broke now and that's not racist to say... it's the truth. broke or not... he's a part of the greatest show in TV history MIAMI VICE!!!!

I read all of the comments...most may have some truth; others are people's opinion. But some are just rude, crude and offensive to another person in general...actor or not. As a therapist, some of the comments reflect that the writer may have more deeply rooted issues than Mr. Thomas.

Oh come on. Philip Michael Thomas is hot and a brilliant actor. What a waste of a gorgeous man that he has not been given MANY more serious roles. Must be some jealous schmucks in the industry that he hasn't been around a whole lot more.

Voice work in a respected hit video game, the great new artistic medium of our century, is hardly a career step down from being a TV psychic spokesperson. Thomas obviously does not have an outstanding career, but many name actors are clamoring for video game voicework and getting it.

I think he was agreat actor on the show both of them and tubes should have landed a roll on Noah's ark as a music producer would have been great for the show I miss both actors

Say what you will. He was the only reason besides Don Johnson that watched that show. He was and is the sexiest man besides Allen Payne that I know. Don't hate on him.

What a fine actor Philip Michael Thomas is ,He along with Don bought do much joy and magic to the small screen ........A lot of people are just jealous because they are LOOSERS and have achieved nothing with their lives.

You know he can't be too washed up if you remember him and how good he was in Miami Vice. I also think that they didn't give him lead episodes that made a difference. Johnson & Thomas.....both good looking men and good actors, but you also have to be given a lead part that helps an actor. I think inspirational plays will work well too. Clifton Powell started out as the S curl and Pinky and he does all kinds of inspirational/gospel plays and is good in them. There is a part of our black culture that like that fine art and there is nothing wrong with excelling in doing them.....look at Tyler Perry. Washed up? Where is Don Johnson...I haven't heard of anything since Nash Bridges. There is always hope. I would like to know what he looks like now...not then....There may be a part out there for him......and maybe one out there for Don Johnson.

PMT has been executive producer in his own play production Sacha on Broadway, which has been performing in Miami. He has been resident acting instructor at Emerson college and has been keeping himself busy and carving his own path. This is what Ive been reading. Maybe he will make it back into the 'mainstream' what ever that is, but if you idiots search on the web, you will find PMT is doing fine and living in the Miami area. This guy is talented. Maybe some of the tunes you will find on clips is a little too R&B or 80s for you, but the dude and sing, and his acting was right up there if not better than Don. He does have 12 children, but thats his business. Start hatin' and start appreciatin'.

I have ran into PMT in Florida and he is a nice man and looks great for his age. He may no longer be rich but he seems happy. Can you blame him for never returning to Hollywood.... That's like a horrible city and industry full of nasty phony people.

I always liked Tubbs; he mumbled like all of us good cops do. He was flashy but Don was the blond bimbo with the flashy smile and the Babes swirling about; its a wonder how he got anything done on that Miami Trilogy. Our family went with Tubbs; he is the reason we watched week after week Don make a complete fool of himself; then save the ratings in the last 32 seconds every week...drrrr-r-r

Tubbs; it was tubbs we liked; a quiet guy who said little but always got the job done. Don made 2.5 times the money but he was a blond bimbo; who seemed to miss everything and then made up for it in the last 32 sec of Miami Lice.
Don got the Babes, some of the guys I heard and had a real PR guy; Melanie; she knew there was nothing there but abuse and a small
stick she went after a real man.
Tubbs come on back; you know that Cuban Cop who played on Preditor 1,
with Glover. Get with him, because he is looking for you; another cop show with equal money I hear. No more BlondBimbo's; cool and this from a White Director......

The writer is racist. PMT was cocky, I agree. In his private life he might have treated women poorly. I was not there, so I do not know. His hair style was common at that time period. That doesn't make him greasy any more than whites in the 70s all having stringy hair. He pulled tons of women when he was famous and was a draw for the show. I watched because of him, not Don Johnson. I thought Don looked like trailer trash. PMT had a large fan base at the time which was why he was on th show.

I met Philip Michael Thomas recently in Orlando at my local YMCA where he was taking his son to a Yoga class. He was polite, charming and very wonderful to talk to and I told him how much I enjoyed him on Miami Vice. I also told him that he looked fantastic and doesn't seem to age at all. I instantly recognized him because he looks very similar to what I remembered from the Miami Vice days. He said he has lived a clean life, never smoked or drank and has been a vegetarian for over 40 years. He didn't have one wrinkle and I was shocked when he said he was 64 years old. He is a lovely person and I wish him continued success. Miami Vice is a classic TV show that changed how people looked at Miami and made it the iconic example of a hip tropical city and the place to visit. His role will always be remembered by many and I recall loving that show every Friday night. Thanks for the great work and memories from Miami Vice and the 1980's. You will always be a star in my eyes and for many, many others.

I always found DMT amusing! You could be watching the show (Miami Vice) and DMT's 'accent' would come and go....that is IF he weren't overacting his scene. LOVED IT, it was a study in how NOT to act! It is obvious that the main thing that got in his way, next to his lack of talent, was his EGO!

Anonymous said...

He was also a stage actoe. I saw him in a broadway play in Detroit once and he was great.

You forgot to list "Sparkle," which was a cult favorite and very popular among Black audiences. The film was recently remade. He was already known with Black audiences before Miami Vice. So, because he wasn't "crossover" before Miami Vice meant he wasn't a good actor? I think not.

I never thought of Mr Thomas as "skuzzy". As far as him not getting anymore roles,Following the character of Rico Tubbs would be very hard to do. No matter what he does he will always be Rico. This happens to alot of actors that do a really great job of bringing a character to life. As far as him having a large ego, well so what? I can imagine that too would be an easy thing to happen. Who is to say it was ego and not ambition. Sounds to me like the man had set goals and was determined to reach them. Unless anyone on here or the writer of this story actually knows Mr Thomas then the statements are nothing more than opinions. I like the guy and I think he did a great job in Miami Vice. I wish him nothing but the best!!

Call PMT washed up all you want, but he was a part of a show that practically ruled a decade. That is worth more than a lot of actors can say. Oh and by the way, Philip is still a star because Miami Vice stays on TNT. We still see him on t.v. So keep hatin'.

Someone mentioned Hollywood being racist: I don't believe that as there are many Blacks there (and the list is growing), some who are A-listers. I do, however, believe Hollywood is fastly becoming "hetero-intolerant." They are certainly aren't tolerant of any views different from theirs and practice discrimination openly and without shame. But for all of those people who look down on PMT and criticize him unduly, he's set a standard for himself which very few of you, if any, can match or surpass. It seems pretty shitty people can resort to insults and rail armchair criticisms at people who try and achieve in this country. I won't even resort to the "who is perfect" condition as no one can accomplish that. I will say, "who will at least try hard?" Sure as hell not the critics, cause all they're doing is running off at the mouth with little or no damned accomplishments.

I liked PMT a lot on Miami Vice and thought he carried the show making it sexy and mysterious at the same time. Don Johnson was just a pretty boy who happened to co-star with him. Too bad about his falling out after the show, he obviously did not have a professional manager as other actors do, to help him out. His ego problem was a lot smaller than Don Johnson's who was a miserable SOB, to boot! Would love to see him back on TV!

I liked PMT in Miami Vice I have often wondered where he is today Especially lately when Miami Herald had a week long expose of Miami Vice The mentioned all the characters except PMT... If Don Johinson can still be in movies PMT surely can too... Dont understand why Don Johnson made it and still makes it and PMT does not. In my opinion PMT was the cool one of the two.

well apparently PMT is still thought of very much and not as a washed-up actor.his acting was very good. He got his break with Miami Vice. But when you look at the big picture image is everything.unfortunately like everyone else on this earth we may make choices that we have to pay the consequences for later that has nothing to do with his acting ability.PMT was a joy to watch and sparkle and in Miami Vice he was very convincing as an actor.and I hope that we can get to enjoy his abilities once more he can make a comeback he wouldn't be the first he surely won't be the last.PMT does have fans and an audience maybe one intelligent director and producer or writer will give him that chance.I feel that PMT was black balled.BMT should never give up on coming back and making a comeback you won't be the first and it won't be the last.there's some folks that have some love for PMT

PMT was definitely huge in the 80's, one of the biggest stars. Just to reach that height of fame is an accomplishment. My guess is that he was typecast from such a strong role, like Don Johnson was, and couldn't break out of it. I also think he probably offended just about everyone in the film industry with his arrogant attitude and they may have blacklisted him just because they didn't like him. IMO, his EGOT thing is idiotic. His psychic network thing was really hitting bottom, there was no hope to act seriously after that. The voiceover for GTA is a nice gig, that game is HUGE. Nothing to be ashamed of there. I read up on PMT a little, and he pursued a music career, opened a theater, etc. these things didn't work out too well, but he chased his dream and it looks like he pretty much did things his way. So maybe the post MV stuff failed, at least he did what he believed in. It's too bad all the racist stuff has to show up here, can't we just talk about TV without all that shit? Netflix currectly has the entire run of Miami Vice, I'm going to check it out.

I've been re-watching the show on NBC's website; the show stands the test of time. It's epic in every way. PMT was great on the show--as was Don Johnson. Edward James Olmos' part was pretty sinister, and very well executed too.

Some of PMT's lines were hilariously oozing with braggadocio, but it seems like some of those lines were improv'd by PMT, not penned by writers... specifically with the intent of adding humor, and the humor sticks its landing; it works perfectly for the role of an undercover cop who has to convince dangerous criminals that he's also a dangerous criminal, but one they'd want to hang with, and do business with.

PMT seems like he was a very cool, creative person; a good looking guy, and a success with the ladies--someone deemed to have the gravitas to play an equal to Don Johnson's Crockett. It's a shame he wasn't picked up for parts after Miami Vice. In hindsight, he could have started a production company, or something, but who at the time would have guessed the roles would dry up?

Miami Vice was really -way- ahead of its time for an hour-long prime-time television show, with its multi-racial casting. Hollywood didn't have any shows that could serve as vehicles for minority actors/actresses... apart from sitcoms with all-black casts on the WB. It's good to see that TV is upping its game in quality, as well as with opportunities for actors of many colors and heights.

I wish PMT well, and more success if life allows it. Thanks for the good work I can still enjoy today!

Ask yourself, do you really need much afer all that work money and fame? People have second careers away from the spolight and are free to explore.

So many one-hit singers and one-hit shows, pro athletes who have a stretch of good years but then you never see them again. It doesn't mean they are washed up. I think anyone would trade places with what you call "washed-up" vs. your current career.

The author of this garbage must hate himself. Sad!

Why is everyone in the comments section so ticked off ? This post was somewhat mean spirited, but the author was just having a laugh and it's really not that deep.

Anyways PMT was not a good person and if you read Pam Grier's book, she talks about their relationship and how he basically bailed out on her during her cancer scare. What kind of a person does that? He left her alone when things got serious ans tough and it was just a disgusting thing to do to a vulnarable person. Plus he has like a dozen kids with a shit load of different baby mamas lmao the dude is a mess.

Also why all the insults aimed at Don Johnson? PMT and Don are both washed up, but Don is just less so. He was more talented than PMT and if you watch some of his movies like The Hot Spot, Dead Bang and Guilty as Sin you'll realize that. Both Don and PMT were arrogant during the height of their fame, and Don descended into alcoholism and partying while PMT's career went down the toilet because of the EGOT stuff. Also lol at the psychic network fiasco he should've got a psychic on set during Miami Vice to predict his washed up future.

Philip Michael Thoma Wass the force that kept Miami Vice Believable in its first and 2nd year. As the show's racist director, Mann, and racist meglomaniac Don Johnson insisted in making it a white boy power masturbation as oppose to the human interest and political commentary of the truth creator, Anthony Yerkovich, later blacklisted, the show defined under the stench of Dno John's real attitude overcoming his character, Sonny Crocket and his pissing contest with the macho cartoon character creation of Edward James Olmos. The latter's ninja introductions to the show took it down a cartoon path.

Racist, insecure self proclaimed white boys, as opposed to men, hate the presence of the first black male lead on tv who was equally presented as attractive and intelligent by the great Anthony Yerkovich who created Miami Vice in conflict with the racist Reagan Era 1980's.
