Jerry Mathers is the granddaddy of all washed-up celebrities. For all intents and purposes, he was the "Dustin Diamond" of the 1950s, reaching the pinnacle of his life before he even hit age 15 when he starred as Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver on the hit TV show "Leave It To Beaver" from 1957-1963. Here are some early pictures of a young Mathers:
America loved the inquisitive young tyke on Leave It To Beaver. He was a cute and wholesome young boy growing up in a time of innocence. The sit-com followed the young Beaver as he experienced his adolescent years at school, the candy shop, and throughout his neighborhood.
Puberty, however, was extremely harsh to Mathers, as it gave him a good ass-kicking from which he never recovered. Mathers morphed from a cute wholesome kid into an ugly little troll as is painfully obvious in the pictures below:
Rather than accept his fate in life and attempt to move on to bigger and better things, Mathers has attempted to stay in the limelight long after his time has passed. He occasionally shows up in self-parody roles. I remember seeing him playing a washed-up loser (i.e., himself) on an episode of Married With Children in the early 1990s. He also maintains a website where he refers to himself as "An Entertainment Legend and American Icon" even though his only acting of any significance ended 43 years ago when he was a mere 15 years old. He also still makes guest appearances in an unsuccessful attempt to make him seem important and worthy of respect. All of this makes Mathers one washed-up celebrity!
Jesus Christ! What happened to his face??
ReplyDeleteSuch a stupid show. Just sickeningly stupid.
DeleteGay Emperor Palpatine?
DeleteUgly or not, if you are stuck with a nickname like "The Beaver", it can't be good...
ReplyDelete...you know... he'd be a good stand in for Austin Powers with a set of choppers like that...
ReplyDelete...saw "The Beave" on NBC's "Identity" game show tonight... barely got any face time from it...
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine him being a IMDb Nazi though.
ReplyDeleteI wanna drop my lunch on his troll-face!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a man who can take a few loads!
ReplyDeleteid love to shove my slimy cock up his beaver... and by beaver i mean his firm, wrinkled, hairy, dingleberry-encrusted anus. the thrill of the orgasm would be equivalent to the experience of murder or childbirth. if it were rape, my heart would explode in sheer bliss.
ReplyDeleteNasty. Go seek help. You really need it.
DeleteI agree with pretty much every celebrity, but didn't Mathers star in that 4 season sequel to Leave it to Beaver? I remember when I a kid the Disney Channel had on this show called Still the Beaver. And at least, Mathers became successful in business matters and graduated from university unlike some others. I hear he's doing pretty well for himself after his stardom years went on.
ReplyDeleteI'm only 34; thank goodness for syndication. Tony "Wally Cleaver" Dow is the only reason I ever watched "Beaver".
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else watch the "New Leave It To Beaver"? Tony Dow was a fine boy who grew up to a handsome, sexy man...with one of the nicest butts on television!
I grew up watching Leave it to Beaver and Jerry Mathers was a household name. You Punks, sick pervs of todays younger generation will never know what a wholesome family was 'cause your mothers are all whores and your daddys are wimps. As for Mathers looks think what you will look like when you reach his age. Your comments already show what you are inside.
ReplyDeleteHow can you say those things about a TV icon that many people admire. I think you look at a person's looks and make fun. He is one famous person who never got into trouble unlike many of the young stars today - maybe that is what you don't like.
ReplyDeleteAH LEAVE HIM ALONE! ALL THOSE YEARS OF GETTING CORKED BY WALLY WILL GIVE YOU A PUSS LIKE THAT TOO!!
ReplyDeleteI always liked "Leave It To Beaver". Dustin Diamond is not fit to eat the peanuts out of Jerry Mathers shit.
ReplyDeleteHey Anon (3/20),
ReplyDeleteDon't be hatin' on "The Dust." I myself would crawl over 10 miles of razorblades just to suck the peanuts & corn kernals out of his shit! As for "The Beav" I heard rumors that he sheared off his manhood and is now referred to Jenny Mathers.
The most eroticv thing ever said on Television?
ReplyDelete"Ward I think you were a little rough on The Beaver last night!"
I watched that Married with Children episode last night and it was hilarious! Beaver came out as a fat troll to help promote a supermarket contest that the Bundys were competing in. He cried about being lower than Charles Nelson Reilly (this was 20 years ago) and was totally abused by Bud and Kelly. The best line was when Bud asked him to settle a bet. He said, "My sister says you blew all your money on booze and cheap women. I say you blew it all on donuts and cheap booze." I would say he was a good sport, but his "acting" was so bad that it made you hate the loser with a fiery passion. He'll die in a few years and Shepherd Smith will make a 20 second mention of it at the end of day's the newscast, then he'll be completely forgotten, much like he is now.
ReplyDeleteat least he was a celebrity...which most of you sad excuses for human life definitely cannot claim. get a life and spend your time constructivley...not denegrating others.
ReplyDeleteWas it ever explained how The Beev got his nickname?
ReplyDeleteYes in the final episode. Wally couldn't say Theodore right so they shortened it to Beaver.I always thought they called him that because of his teeth.
DeleteJerry Matters served our country in the military. How about you?
ReplyDelete^^
ReplyDeleteI thought that was just a rumor.
(Or am I thinking of Mr. Rogers?)
I think that with age and medical issues(diabetes).Has taken its toll on Jerry Mathers.Lifes daily pressures and divorce and trying to raise kids.Maybe this took its toll on Jerry.Maybe he is an alcoholic? Some alcoholics get diabetes.Plus todays technology in photography.Makes all the blemishes and skin look bad
ReplyDeleteI MET HIM ONCE IN OHIO. HE WAS A COMPLETE ASSHOLE WITH A CAPITAL A!
ReplyDeleteit sounds to me as though you are a little bitter. He might have hit the high spot of his life before 15...but at least he actually hit one. Im sure you are still waiting to hit yours. I tell you what, when you become a house hold name...Ill read another of your blogs but until then, good luck
ReplyDeleteat least he hit his hight point...all you have is this blog...wow, nice job
ReplyDeleteI love to watch Leave it to Beaver, I have since I was a kid and the show was popular, Beaver was never my favorite, just liked the show. To whoever wanted to know how he got the name Beaver, I seen the episode many times through the years that explains how, apparently when Wally was small, he couldn't say Theodore, it came out to sound like Beaver.

ReplyDeleteid like to say some of the coments made on here are sick and degrading to the ones that wrote them. Y ou are small and insignificant and dont mean anything. Jerry Mathers is a human being and deserves respect like anyone else. Loved Your show jerry as a kid and miss it. You were a great actor and if given the chance to continue i think you would have had great sucsess
The majority of anonymous comments on here are terrible. I came on this blog to read about devon sawa and will admit that I did get fascinated reading about other actors I grew up with, but there is something seriously and morally wrong with most of you people. The graphic and evil things you mention turn my stomach. The commenters need to seek help, medical help now. And as for the blog. I think there is a way to maintain this site while preserving the dignity of those mentioned. I suggest changing washed up to celebrities of yesterday or something similar and REMOVING the fat, obese, ugly, and downright cruel comments about them. My god, have some dignity.
ReplyDeleteI met Mr. Mathers at a restaurant in Newport Beach, California. Class act all the way. We must have talked for several hours and after posing for a picture with my wife and I, he paid for our meal (we were newlyweds).
ReplyDeleteI will never understand the trolls who always seem to defame people they do not know for no apparent reason...
No matter what, I'll always love Leave It To Beaver!!!! It's an insult to a brilliant actor who impacted American lives, and homes like The Cleavers did, especially The Beav and Wally. I also had the privilege of meeting Mr. Mathers, he was a kind and very nice person. God Bless Him !
ReplyDeleteI too grew up on Leave It To Beaver. Wholesome, clean and it taught values that no longer exists on the screen, tv, in classrooms, malls, sidewalks and in homes anymore. The people who have visited this sight to make such horrid, degrading, crude and evil remarks depicts a generation of the scourge of the earth. Jerry Mathers was adorable then and the face hasn't changed anymore than the rest of us. And you who make such remarks about age- your day is slowly advancing. Unless you achieve the success this man has or similar you can only hope to afford plastic surgery so you can be stretched in every which direction and maybe receive the dregs of the Plastic surgery barrel and end up looking like Joan Rivers or hows about Stallone. Truly, indeed, what you have posted on this sight is the true reveal- not your exterior but interior of what ugly, ugly people you are on the inside.
ReplyDeleteWashed up???? No such thing- time advances, people age, people move on, evolve into new careers, etc. What a horrid blog to give any space to make such horrible comments.
ReplyDeleteJerry Mathers is a class act all the way. It was his great attitude that helped me become a fan of Leave it to Beaver. I saw him on Nightwatch with Charlie Rose in the 80s and he was interviewed along with Jay North. Of the two, only one was a bitter man and that was not Jerry.
ReplyDeleteIf I could emulate Jerry's attitude, I would be much more enjoyable to be around. He is a very good man and someone I admire.
Brian H.
He looks like he's going steady with Princess Crack......those gross eyes and rotten teeth......
ReplyDeleteI hope some of you sick mutha's have dropped dead just for posting your perverted comments on here. Go burn in hell assholes ! BTW Jerry Mathers did more in those few yr's than you have managed to do in a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteI heard a rumor that Jerry wanted to join an LA street gang sometime around 1978. He wanted to join the Rolling 60s Crips. In order to join a gang you have partake in an initiation. This usually involves getting your ass kicked. Anyway during the initiation, Jerry was struck in the face with a brick and a baseball bat. This is the reason as to why Jerry looks like a creepy creep. He was eventually allowed into the Rolling 60s, and given the gang name "Beaver Face Killa". According to his ex-manager, he has the nickname tattooed above his ass!
ReplyDeleteMan, Leave It To Beaver is one of the greatest TV shows of all time. I don't care what Mathers has done since, or what he looks like. He will always be a star in my book.
ReplyDeleteThe real losers are the authors of the article (like anyone has ever heard of you, Mr Mathers apparently accomplished more in his adolescence) and of most of the comments (not only the real losers, but low life filth to boot).
ReplyDeleteI've always thought there was a sexual chemistry between Eddie Haskell and June Cleaver !
ReplyDeleteGerry Mathers has more class and honor in the finger nail of his smallest finger than all of you perverted "Anonymous" slim buckets put together.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he's totally wasted in one of the pictures you have posted.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
ReplyDeleteJerry is a nice man. I met him back about 20 years ago at LAX waiting for a flight. He took pics with me and my children and talked with us for an hour. We should all be grateful that Leave It To Beaver was made it's a good, moral show we can all look up too.
ReplyDeleteBeaver is in the steaming Zesto Soup cup on the billboard this morning.
ReplyDeleteI think we all would like be in pictures at that age so he’s not doing it now we should not say he’s washed up but thanks for great show of
ReplyDeleteGreat family and not all the problems of today’s times . I wish you all the best ,a fan
Beaver's problem was that Ward never slapped the shit out of him.
